About Me
BEST TUTOR
Do you want the best math tutor available?
I am a college professor and tutor college and graduate level math for anyone, including those going back to college and those studying for MBA or PhD's in economics, business, engineering, architecture or other fields.
I can tutor almost any subject in math including:
-
algebra, linear algebra, number theory, logic, cryptology
-
pre-calculus, calculus, advanced calculus
-
probability & statistics
-
real variables, complex variables
-
plane geometry, solid geometry, non-Euclidean geometry, trigonometry
-
some physics, astronomy, and other sciences
I have taught or tutored every grade from Kindergarten through post-doctoral research.
-
Dozens of students have sent written notes saying I am the best math teacher (or the best teacher of any subject) they have ever had.
-
I received 800 on College Boards and won numerous math contests.
-
I wrote the teacher’s manual for SAT preparation for Columbia Test Preparation Center (not related to Columbia University and later renamed HAP—Higher Achievement Program—and now defunct) which was written up in the 1970’s by New York Magazine as the best test preparation center in NY City. Our students had an AVERAGE increase in SAT scores of 200 points in math and 200 points in English.
-
I emphasize understanding, NOT tricks, and go very slowly to be sure the student understands every point—and by gaining a proper understanding, any student can work with confidence problems he or she never saw before that are different from the examples in the book.
